Faculty and Staff

The Dag Hammarskjöld Chair of Peace and Conflict Research was the first in the Department and its first and present holder was appointed in 1985. In 2003, the holder of a second Chair, assumed the work as Professor. In addition to these chairs, assistant and associate professors, some 15 Ph. D. candidates, administrative, project, and technical staff, in all app. 60 persons are employed at the Department. At present some 200-300 students are enrolled every academic year. Courses offered include undergraduate and post-graduate courses, as well as a Ph. D. programme.
