Short Biography

I work as a post-doctoral researcher in Lisa Hultman’s project „Ending Atrocities: Third-Party Interventions into Civil Wars”. I finished my PhD entitled “The Grass Is Always Greener? Armed Groups' Side Switching in Civil Conflicts” in February 2016 at the Graduate School of Decision Sciences, University of Konstanz. During my PhD I was also affiliated with the "Communication, Networks and Contention" Research Group at the Department of Politics and Public Administration, University of Konstanz. Previously, I was a visiting scholar at the Centre for the Study of Civil War, Peace Research Institute Oslo.

Research Areas

Civil war dynamics, interventions into civil wars, protection of civilians, violence against civilians, multiple armed actors in civil wars
