Tanushree Rao selected as Uppsala University’s Global Swede 2021!

Tanushree Rao, currently enrolled in the Master’s Programme in Peace and Conflict Studies (class 2019-2021) as a Rotary Peace Fellow, has been selected as Uppsala University’s Global Swede 2021! The Global Swede Award is part of a long-term vision for building and strengthening relationships with international students in Sweden. For 11 years now, the award has been presented by the Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Swedish Institute. The goal is to create a network to promote Swedish trade and benefit international and multicultural cooperation. Global Swede alumni are part of a wider network which currently comprises of around 13 000 people from 140 countries. Every year, each Swedish university selects one student as their winner for the Global Swede Award.
